HP Array Configuration Utility 9.40

Developed by Hewlett Packard Development Company, L.P., HP Array Configuration Utility (ACU) is a storage management tool for configuring and maintaining disk arrays on HP Smart Array controllers, primarily in HP ProLiant server environments. ACU provides an intuitive interface—available both online within supported Windows and Linux operating systems and offline through bootable media—to help administrators design, deploy, and adjust RAID-based storage with minimal disruption.

Key capabilities include:

• Create, delete, and configure arrays and logical drives
• Select RAID levels (such as 0, 1, 1+0, 5, 6/ADG, 50, 60, controller-dependent)
• Perform online capacity expansion and RAID level migration
• Assign and manage dedicated or global hot spares
• Monitor controller and drive health, including rebuild and initialization progress
• Generate configuration reports and save/export array settings
• Automate tasks via the companion command-line utility (HPACUCLI/HPSSACLI)

ACU helps streamline storage lifecycle tasks—initial deployment, scaling, optimization, and maintenance—while supporting data protection and uptime objectives. Note: On newer platforms, ACU functionality has been succeeded by HPE Smart Storage Administrator (SSA).
